David Bowie Tribute: The Man Who Sold The World piano/vocals cover

From The Basement E-Mute David Bowie The Man Who Sold The World

David Bowie, one of the most influential writers of pop and rock music died on January the 10th of 2016.
“David Bowie challenged the core belief of the rock music of its day.” – David Buckley.
A few days after Lemmy died, another great loss for the music world. This is a tribute to David Bowie, a piano/vocals version of his song ”The Man Who Sold The World” also known from the Nirvana MTV unplugged version and now part of my ‘From The Basement’ video series…

The Man Who Sold The World lyrics:
We passed upon the stair, we spoke of was and when
Although I wasn’t there, he said I was his friend
Which came as some surprise, I spoke into his eyes
I thought you died alone, a long long time ago

Oh no, not me
I never lost control
You’re face to face
With the man who sold the world

I laughed and shook his hand, and made my way back home
I searched for form and land, for years and years I roamed
I gazed a gazely stare at all the millions here
We must have died alone, a long long time ago

Who knows? Not me
We never lost control
You’re face to face
With the man who sold the world

This tribute comes only a few days after my tribute to Lemmy with a piano/vocals cover of Ace oF Spades. I hope that this is going to be the last tribute to a legend that just passed away… You can find the Ace of Spades here:
