Alternative Rock Playlist Spotify Vol.1

alternative rock Spotify playlists

Hello,

This is a Spotify playlist with songs that I love listening to (that’s when I have time to do so because writing my own music takes up a lot of my time LOL) and also songs that I had totally forgotten about and found them again on Spotify. I guess making playlists it’s a great way to keep a good database of music that you love so here we go. A Spotify playlist is a good modern replacement of the old mixtape.

In this playlist you will find 20 great alternative rock songs from:

  1. Porcupine Tree
  2. Muse
  3. Nirvana
  4. Pearl Jam
  5. Pulp
  6. Depeche Mode
  7. E-Mute
  8. The Strokes
  9. Jane’s Addiction
  10. Dinosaur Jr
  11. Stone Temple Pilots
  12. Franz Ferdinand
  13. Foo-Fighters
  14. Radiohead
  15. Soundgarden
  16. U2
  17. Coldplay
  18. Pixies
  19. The Smashing Pumkins
  20. Alice In Chains

My friend Adrian. He is running the Cyphreinc podcast.

Hi guys,

Just wanted to introduce you to my friend Adrian. He is running the Cyphreinc podcast. A man of good taste as he is, finds great indie music and presents it on his show. I don’t remember how I met him, online somewhere, somehow when I first released my first EP and has included E-MUTE to his set list a few times since then. He is based in Salford UK and as he says on his Twitter bio: 13 tunes on the 13th of every month! A mix of rock, alternative rock and overall awesome organised noise!

Valentine’s Day is here and this Queen track is the best love song ever

Hello lovers 🙂

Valentine’s day is here so I just wanted to write this quick post to let you know which is my no. 1 love song of all times.

It is the song ”You Take My Breath Away” by Queen. Have you heard it? For some strange reason it is not a very well known song of theirs but it is a real masterpiece. First time I heard it I was blown away.

Freddie Mercury

You Take My Breath Away

The song was written by F. Mercury and he first showcased it during a concert at Hyde Park. Later on they recorded it at the studio, adding an incredible vocal intro. It was released as part of the album ‘A Day at The Races’ which was Queen’s fifth album released in December 1976.

Here are the song lyrics:

“You Take My Breath Away”

Look into my eyes and you’ll see
I’m the only one
You’ve captured my love
Stolen my heart
Changed my life
Every time you make a move
You destroy my mind
And the way you touch
I lose control and shiver deep inside
You take my breath awayYou can reduce me to tears
With a single sigh
Every breath that you take –
Any sound that you make
Is a whisper in my ear
I could give up all my life for just one kiss
I would surely die
If you dismiss me from your love
You take my breath awaySo please don’t go
Don’t leave me here all by myself
I get ever so lonely from time to time
I will find you
Anywhere you go, I’ll be right behind you
Right until the ends of the earth
I’ll get no sleep till I find you to tell you
That you just take my breath
awayI will find you…etc
I’ll get no sleep til I find you to
tell you when I’ve found you –
I love youAnd here is the video:

For those who are celebrating,

Have a great St. Valentine’s day for those who are not,

Keep rockin’ and thanks for reading!
